Win Some – Lose Some –

I was so sad today because I learned that I was rejected for the New Contemporaries.  I was really keeping my fingers crossed for this one, but sadly it wasn’t to be.

However, on the upside, I learned on Saturday that some of the regular visitors to the Paradiso Gallery had been quite sad to see my mobile go.  Many of them were sorry that it had to come down.  Apparently it had generated quite some interest and as a result the curator said that they might have to get it back again.

This news took the edge off the New Contemporaries disappointment.  To hear that (in its absence) people were actually missing a piece of my work, is for me what makes it all worthwhile.

Always remember, things happen for you and not to you and every cloud always has a silver lining.
