Beautiful Light at the MACBA
Before launching into a gallery of artworks at the MSCBA, I want to highlight both the beautiful architecture and light of the building. I was completely ‘taken’ with the stunning light that streamed through the huge windows of the building. Indeed I felt that the atmosphere created by the large windows, together with the clinically white interior, architectural angles and vaulted ceilings, warranted a mini photographic project all of its own. Therefore I decided to take some time out to shoot some of the beautifully lit interiors that were flooded with natural light. Self Publishing a Small Book of Beautiful Light at the MACBA
On realising that I had produced so many interior images of the MACBA, I decided to try out a few page layouts. I felt that the images worked well together, so I decided to self publish a short study of the light. Although the pdf supplied by the publishing company was very good, I felt that the book itself worked much better. Below are a few of images of the book.
Did I Break the Rules?
I was so pleased with the quality of my art book that I wondered if the MACBA would be interested in seeing it. However, a friend pointed out that actually I could have been breaking rules by photographing a municipal building. I know that this can happen but in my excitement I had completely forgotten about this. Therefore, I felt it was time to enlist the help of ChatGPT. I wanted to know if I could publish my photographs and whether or not the MACBA would like to see the resulting book?
ChatGPT to the Rescue
I explained my dilemma to ChatGPT who duly wrote a polite draft letter to the MACBA that I was able to use. The chat bot even translated it into Spanish for me. Please see below for ChatGPT’s suggested letter in Spanish. Initially my plan was to use the Spanish letter and send it to the MACBA asking if they would like to see my book. However, since ‘speaking’ with ChatGPT, I’ve had yet another idea involving Barcelona’s amazing graffiti along with some digital wizardry. So my plan is now on hold until I bring my new idea to fruition. Then I will approach the MACBA. Watch this Space!

Little Wins
An encouraging sign was that the MACBA did ‘like’ one of my Instagram images that I tagged them in. Hopefully, they will also like my book and new ideas, that is, when I finally get round to contacting them.
