Recap & Massive Thank You Everyone! –
I don’t tend to talk about it a lot as I find it quite embarrassing – but I suffer badly with travel anxiety (especially on the tube). I was so pleased this year as many of the events were at CSM. Having attended the Low Residency last year I’m pretty comfortable now finding my way around campus. The problems only start when I need to travel to different places around London.
Luckily my husband Andy was on hand to get me to any off campus destinations which was really kind. However while I was out and about I was absolutely ‘bowled over’ by how kind and caring everyone was when I explained how nervous I was at using the tube.
Many thanks to Jonathan who kept an eye out for me and Kathryn who helped me navigate to the Bookarts bookshop. Many thanks to Shirin, Betty, Emma and Jo who also kept a watch out for me too. There were also numerous fellow students who helped me out. I’d love to mention you all personally but my memory isn’t great, so if you did help me out it was so much appreciated! So a massive thank you to everyone! I couldn’t have done it without you all.
The good news is that I’m forcing myself to try harder with navigating to places. This coming week I’m back in London at CSM again. I’ll be heading to London on my own for the first time ever. I am nervous but I’m more determined than ever to conquer this fear, please wish me luck.
Low Residency Recap
A quick shout out to Jonathan, who, despite very difficult circumstances managed to organise a fantastic week for us all! It was a great week and I’m just so sad that my time at CSM is rapidly drawing to a close. I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed/is passing. My words of advice to everyone is enjoy your time there as it goes so fast!
Below is a list of links as a recap of the Low Residency.
Heading Home…
On the way home I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful coloured lights at Paddington Station. Therefore I thought that the images below would be good images to end this blog and say goodbye to my last Low Residency.
