A Touch Designer Tutorial –
I know that time is against me if I want to become proficient at ‘Touch Designer’. Therefore, whenever I have an opportunity to experiment with a new tutorial I take it. I also like to give a time-lapsed visual record of the time that I spend on projects like this. I am particularly interested in time and I’m hoping that these time-lapse videos will make an interesting addition to my project work.

The Result of the Tutorial
Now that the network design has been finalised, I am able to tweak numerous parameters in order to arrive at a result that I’m happy with. Below is the final result once I made all of my adjustments.
Variation of a Theme
Once I have created a base video, I always like to experiment further. Below is a variation on the video above. However, I do prefer the original above. The liquid glass effect is much more vibrant and there are less distracting elements. I still think that the experiment below was worth a try even though I don’t think it was particularly successful.
Further Experimentation
Below are some screenshots taken from the liquid glass video. I noticed that some of the shapes and colours made interesting patterns and I wanted to document this.
Trialling an Invert
Below are the same images as above but this time their colours have been digitally manipulated. I used an invert filter to radically alter the colours. Instead of strong greens, blues and reds, the colour palette had completely changed and now comprised mainly pastels.
More Variations
Below are a few more variations in the form of colour matched collages. The rationale behind the additional experimentation from the ‘Liquid Glass’ tutorial was simply to experiment. I had no preconceived ideas behind what I was doing. However, I often find that assets that I generate sometimes can be reused as backgrounds for other projects.

Ai Reworked Versions of Liquid Glass
Below are some before and after images. The before images are the original inverted liquid glass images and the after images are the results from feeding the originals into Dalle-2. In my opinion Ai text to image generation and image to alternative images will become increasingly popular. Therefore I think it is important to embrace these technologies. I’m also keen to find out if Ai can improve on the originals and in this case I believe that it did. I think that the Ai versions are much smoother and more fluid than the originals which is an interesting result.
Conclusion
I feel that the liquid glass video worked really well and it may be something that I would like to expand on at a later stage. The liquid glass screenshots were interesting but I don’t think I would like to take these further. I had mixed feelings about the inverted liquid glass images. Some of the colours felt quite ‘sickly’, although some of them did ‘work’. The Ai generated images seemed much better because they were both more fluid and smooth. On the whole, I felt that parts of this experimentation process worked really well, for example the liquid glass video. Some of the Ai images also worked well. There is room to try out more colour ways with the liquid glass inverted images. However, I think that these can be ‘parked’ for the moment.
