Monday July 24th –
Time is going so fast! I’m already well over half way through my 21 day challenge and I’ve still got so much I want to do!
Today I worked hard at both AR and touch designer and also with ChatGPT. I managed to create a Touch Designer ‘data mosh’ of one of my images and add it in augmented reality to my Barcelona Graffiti book. This took most of the day. I also added a dancing robot to represent my use of AI. Sadly my back is very poorly at the moment so I’ve had to call it a day, but I have actually created a video of what I achieved. However, I’ve just stumbled across a new ‘AR’ (augmented reality) program. Yes, another one! This one also looks great. So feeling under the weather I decided to watch a few tutorial videos in order to investigate further.
I pretty much know exactly what I will be doing tomorrow and that will be testing out the new AR software. Maybe this software will deliver everything I need? I will have to wait and see. I’m in bed nursing my poorly back at the moment so not much else will be done tonight.
What Did I Learn?
I discovered that I have absolutely no brand loyalty when it comes to software. I love the idea of augmented reality and hidden things waiting to be revealed. I feel up and down about my project, but I believe this is nevertheless an interesting journey.
What Did I Actually Achieve?
Today I actually achieved lots! Unfortunately as I’m now stuck in bed with my video on my iPad at the other end of the room I can edit and upload work from today. However I will post this tomorrow. I’ve now augmented 3 pages in my book. The problem is that it’s looking very likely that I may be swapping software again which might set my project back a little. I leave today behind feeling exhausted and nursing a very painful and sore back. I have very little mobility and I’m hoping my hot water bottle helps. However, I’m excited to try out my new software as I move on to day 13.
